We scan all standard size photographs up to A4 sizes. Images are scanned in at either 300 or 600 DPI, and can be save to JPEG or TIFF formats.

Prices are for each individual photo scanned.
Photos must be loose, and not in albums of any type.
Please note the minimum amount per order is $25 excluding return postage.

Choosing the right resolution

Choosing the right resolution is important, and will depend on what you would like to do with your scanned photos. Resolution is the amount of detail captured when scanning. For example, a 600 DPI scan has double the amount of detail when compared to a 300 DPI scan.

Choosing the right image format

The image format is the way in which you want your photo data stored on disk. JPEG compresses the size of an image by using 'lossy' compression techniques, which means that some image information is lost. The image still looks fine to the naked eye, takes up considerably less disk space and requires less computer resources, such as RAM, when editing. TIFF compresses the image using 'lossless' compressiong techniques, and requires far more disk space for storage. We recommend you always choose JPEG unless you're certain you require TIFF images.
